Description
The Lodge on Loch Lomond is a four star hotel in the picturesque village of Luss. A 25-minute drive from Glasgow, the family-run business sits on the banks of Scotland’s most famous loch in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park.
Incredibly, the hotel has played host to not one but two American Presidents. With stunning vistas stretching up and down the water, it is easy to see what attracted them. Whether you want to admire the majestic mountainous surroundings; get sporty on the water or simply enjoy a romantic stroll along the bonnie banks, The Lodge on Loch Lomond is a comfortable base from which to explore the area.
Rooms with a Loch Lomond view
The Lodge on Loch Lomond has 48 guest rooms with most offering panoramic views of the loch. Every room provides everything you will need for a comfortable stay from cosy bathrobes to complimentary WiFi and room service. As well as a bath, shower and WC, all rooms have double or twin beds, a two seater sofa, colour television, in-room iron and board, hair-dryer, tea and coffee plus direct dial telephones.
Accommodation ranges from comfy Classic Graham rooms to the three luxurious suites. The Executive Munro rooms have open plan bath/shower areas and a balcony or patio. Deluxe Corbett rooms offer balconies extending out over the loch. As well as spectacular views, they are spacious and ideal for families with little ones who can share the sofa bed.
Al fresco dining
Colquhoun’s Restaurant and Lounge are the perfect places to relax and watch the changing landscape of the loch through the floor to ceiling windows. When the Scottish weather allows, the beach picnic tables & chairs provide a sun trap for dining and drinking al fresco.
From breakfast through lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the menus at Colquhoun’s are inspired by the fantastic local produce available.
Spa treats
Guests can enjoy all that the spa has to offer at the Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel. AmberRose Spa provides two luxurious treatment rooms offering spa therapies from leading brand Germaine de Capuccini. It has dedicated manicure & pedicure stations and guests can take time to relax and unwind in the brand-new thermal suite with plush changing facilities to complete the experience. The Thermal Suite includes a 2 person Rasul Mud Chamber for touchless treatment, Aroma steam room, Hot and Cold Showers, Salt Sauna and Herbal Sauna and Heated Relaxation Loungers – the Thermal Suite itself also enjoys those wonderful views out over Loch Lomond.
Things to do at Loch Lomond
The hotel’s location and its very own jetty enables guests to enjoy all the activities that Loch Lomond has to offer. From speedboat trips to yacht cruises, canoe safaris and wakeboarding, you won’t be bored. Back on dry land, there are opportunities for golfing, horse riding, 4×4 driving, shooting and quad biking.
On a more leisurely tip, a stroll from the hotel takes you into the quaint village of Luss where you can explore Scotland’s most romantic church. Alternatively, hop on the water bus down to Loch Lomond Shores for a little retail therapy.

Pets
The hotel accepts one dog per room at £25 per stay, in specific ground floor Munro & Corbett Rooms that are allocated to guests bringing a dog. The hotel must be advised at the time of booking. (other room types can be requested - simply liaise with the team on booking) Dogs must not be left unattended at any time and owners are reminded to be respectful in relation to dog fowling. Bins are available in our car park for disposal. The hotel has an area within the Lounge & Restaurant where dogs are permitted and their team can advise on this when you stay.
Children and extra beds
The hotel must be advised of additional persons in a room at the time of booking. Children 10 years and under are accommodated free of charge in appropriate rooms. Third person sharing will be charged at £30 B&B payable on departure. All meals will be charged as taken for additional guests.
