Description

Ingliston Country Club & Hotel is a family-run resort set within a scenic 90-acre estate. As well as the main boutique hotel with its 30 rooms, there is also a variety of self-catering holiday lodges and a hugely popular equestrian centre.

The hotel is surrounded by peaceful Renfrewshire countryside just a 25-minute drive from Glasgow city centre. It is also ideally placed between Loch Lomond and Glasgow Airport, with the sparkling Clyde Estuary nearby too. Facilities include an indoor horse arena, family restaurant, cocktail bar and oyster bar.

As the Ingliston is passionate about sustainability, the resort includes charging points for electric vehicles and solar-powered lighting.

Choice of two dining experiences

While staying at the Ingliston guests can choose between award-winning family restaurant, Palomino’s, or the decadent Oyster Bar. Much of the produce served in both restaurants is actually grown on the estate itself, ensuring maximum freshness and flavour.

Palomino’s Restaurant & Cocktail Bar has a very unique feature in that it overlooks the estate’s indoor equestrian arena. This means that diners can watch the horses being trained while tucking into a wide ranging menu of freshly cooked food. All dishes are freshly prepared to order and include a range of pizzas and pastas, as well as chef’s specials like the Palomino’s steak pie braised in a rich red wine jus.

Opened in 2019, Oyster Bar serves the finest native handpicked Scottish oysters as well as smoked fish and other fine seafood. Everything is sourced from the waters around Barra and the Outer Hebrides, with a highlight being the trio of oak-smoked salmon with a tipsy twist of Hendricks gin.

Boutique hotel rooms

Each of the hotel’s 30 guest rooms is decorated in a contemporary style. Many have striking views of Ben Lomond, the Clyde Estuary and the Kilpatrick Hills, meaning that you can immerse yourself in scenery.

All rooms include an LCD TV, complimentary toiletries, air conditioning and a hospitality tray.

Alpine-style lodges

If you would prefer the privacy of a lodge, then you can choose between classic or luxury residences at the Ingliston.

Each detached self-catering lodge is open plan with double glazing for extra peace and quiet. Other features include a comfy living area, partially self-catering kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave, and private garden. You can also make the most of the free WiFi, flat screen LCD TV with Freeview and Hypnos Royal Warrant bed for a good night’s sleep. A welcome pack with tea, coffee and shortbread will be waiting for you on arrival.

What’s close to Ingliston Country Club & Hotel?

The resort includes one the UK’s best equestrian centres, so if you want to get into the saddle then you are in the right place.

That said, you don’t have to be a horse lover to enjoy a stay here. Loch Lomond, the gateway to the Highlands, is a half hour journey by car. The surrounding area is also a golfer’s paradise, with some of the best courses in the world practically on the doorstep.

As well as this you can picnic on the shores of the Clyde Estuary, hike the Kilpatrick Hills, or head to Lochwinnoch Wetland Reserve to watch whooper swans, grebes and ducks.

Plus as Glasgow airport is just a 12-minute drive way, you could also stop off here for a comfy overnighter before catching an early flight.
