About Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard

Beautiful Pitlochry Bed and Breakfast in Enchanted Woodland

Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard in Pitlochry is a beautiful, award-winning Bed and Breakfast consisting of a Victorian lodge and twelve courtyard bedrooms. Awarded four star guest house status from VisitScotland, the family-run business is tucked away in enchanting woodland grounds in the Perthshire town. At dusk, guests might spot red squirrels or, wading among the ducks and moorhens on the pond, the resident heron. While the lodge dates back to 1896 and boasts period features such as sash windows and ornate cornicing, the courtyard bedrooms are decorated in a comfortable, contemporary style using muted Highland colours. Pitlochry is an interesting little town in its own right but its location in Highland Perthshire makes the Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard a great spot from which to tour the surrounding castles, distilleries and mountains.

Award Winning Scottish Hotel

At the Scottish Hotel Awards in 2012, gold medals for Hospitality and Design were awarded to the Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard in Pitlochry. It’s not hard to see why. As well as a traditional, ensuite bedroom in the Lodge, the two storey Courtyard offers twelve spacious rooms. Some have their own private balcony or garden terrace. All have large 6ft super king beds, 32” wall mounted plasma televisions, WiFi, DVD players and also iPod docking stations which allow guests to listen to music in the bedroom or bathroom. The freestanding baths and luxury walk-in showers are complemented by underfloor heating in the bathrooms.

Familly friendly and Accessible Accommodation

Six of the Courtyard rooms are on the ground floor, one with a wet-room shower only, to help cater for those with mobility difficulties. The master suites in the Courtyard are suitable for guests with children and can sleep up to five. A travel cot and high-chair for children under the age of two years are available as are cot blankets. Complimentary car parking is available on site at Pitlochry’s Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard.
