About Torlinnhe Guest House

Award-winning guest house near Fort William

Winner of a coveted TripAdvisor ‘Best of the Best’ Award, Torlinnhe offers a truly elevated guest house experience on the shores of Loch Linnhe.

The setting boasts incredible views of the Ardgour Hills and is just a mile from Fort William, ‘The Outdoor Capital of the UK’. Ben Nevis is also a short drive away.

Guests can dine with a view of the loch and also have free unlimited access to the nearby leisure centre with its swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

Lochside fine dining

Torlinnhe’s intimate dining room overlooks the shimmering water and the spectacular Ardgour Peninsula beyond. With a motto of ‘inspired by nature, driven by simplicity’, the kitchen team aim to make the most of Scotland’s natural larder by delivering exceptional dining with great flavour.

Fresh catches from local fishermen and suppliers sourced from within 20 miles are the focus of the menu, while all produce is cooked with passion and flair.

Sample mains include the Loch Linnhe Catch of the Day served with samphire, borlotti beans, edamame beans, artichoke and lemon butter sauce, or the 500g of Loch Linnhe langoustines with Ben Nevis whisky butter, croft salad, lemon and herb.

You can also tuck into a Highland Wagyu beef burger with beef dripping chips and the chef’s own truffle ketchup, or wild Scottish chanterelles pasta with herbs plucked from the kitchen garden.

Super comfy rooms

Each of the eight stylish ensuite rooms are individually finished and designed with comfort in mind.

You will get a good night’s rest with the high thread count luxury cotton bed linen, duck down duvet, and cheerful Harris tweed throw and cushions.

You can also make the most of the smart TV with Netflix, free WiFi, hairdryer, hair straighteners and organic Highland Soap Co. toiletries. On arrival, you can help yourself to refreshments from the hospitality tray, including organic tea, coffee, charcoal-filtered water and handmade Scottish shortbread

Lochs, mountains and castles

Outdoor lovers will find plenty to do around Torlinnhe Guest House, from water activities on the loch to the various valley trails of Glen Coe. Plus don’t forget to take in the incredible sight of Scotland’s second highest waterfall, Steal Falls.

If you’re feeling energetic you could even climb Ben Nevis and if not, take the thrilling 650 metre mountain gondola to the top instead.

Those who love a bit of Scottish history might enjoy a tour of the 14th century Castle Stalker, while whisky fans can stop off for a dram at Ben Nevis Distillery. And for a unique museum experience, head to Treasures of the Earth in Fort William, which displays glittering gemstones, crystals and fossils.
