    Quaint hotel retaining traditional values

We had a great few days here, our room was roomy with double aspect (three windows). The hotel is quaint the way hotels used to be but with modern touches. Included bottled water in room, no plastic glasses here the real thing. We enjoyed a lovely meal with good service. Would like to visit this hotel again as it is close to the centre and transport links.

    Comfortable stay

Old central hotel, a little tired in places but still holds the feel of grandeur from former years. It’s in an ideal position if you don’t have a car and handy for shopping in the Main Street and Eastgate shopping centre. Staff were friendly and there was a good choice for breakfast.

The Royal Highland Hotel opened in Inverness in 1854, just one year before the steam train network reached the town.

The age of steam has passed but the age of elegant hotels lives on at The Royal Highland Hotel which is on Station Square right next to the railway station.
