About the Crowwood hotel

The award-winning Crowwood House Hotel is in the village of Chryston, near Muirhead. Although it is based in a rural spot, it’s very handy for Glasgow, being only a fifteen minute drive from the city centre. This means that you can enjoy all of the city’s highlights but begin and end each day in a more peaceful setting. The Crowwood also offers a casual dining restaurant, lounge bar, contemporary rooms, free on-site parking, dry cleaning service and complimentary WiFi.

Comfortable rooms

Each of the Crowwood’s 38 rooms offer Select Comfort beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, flat screen satellite TVs, tea and coffee makers, free newspapers, hairdryers, direct dial telephones and room service at selected times, perfect for enjoying a lazy stay. All rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, with high quality fabrics and furnishings. Fluffy towels and extra bedding can be requested as extras, as well as champagne, chocolates and fresh flowers, should you be planning a romantic getaway.

Creative casual dining

Elliot’s restaurant at the Crowwood is a relaxed and elegant casual dining space. The kitchen team, led by an award-winning chef, pride themselves on food that is both imaginative and creative, yet also unpretentious. Fresh local produce is used to highlight the best of regional flavours and dishes can be complemented by a lovingly selected wine list. The dinner menu changes regularly but popular main courses include the breast of chicken with peppercorn sauce, the traditional steak pie with puff pastry lid and the haddock goujons with chips. A children’s menu is also available. After dinner, you can sit back and sample the fine selection of Scottish malts available in the lounge bar.

See & Do

As mentioned, the Crowwood is handy for Glasgow city centre, including the Hydro, SEC and Emirates Arena. if you fancy a bit of a splurge, Glasgow Fort Shopping Park is only a fifteen minute drive away and golf enthusiasts can head to the stunning championship course at Cawder Golf Club. Alternatively, you could enjoy the rural bliss of Chryston village itself, perhaps by taking a stroll along the lanes to find Bedlay Castle, before heading back to the hotel for home-baked afternoon tea at Elliot’s.
