Out & About

Edinburgh is a city of natural beauty spots, historic wonders and year-round cultural attractions, including a dizzying range of festivals. Best of all, you can tour all of the main highlights by foot, from the Medieval Old Town to the Georgian New Town. After taking in the essential sights of Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat and Holyrood Palace, you could go shopping on Princes Street or explore tucked away speciality stores.

Following that, your dining options are endless, from quirky bistros to ethnic cuisine to a cluster of Michelin starred restaurants. It’s also worth heading to a show at one of the many theatres, such as the Edinburgh Playhouse or the Traverse. The Scottish Whisky Experience is the perfect excuse to enjoy a tipple or two, all in the name of national heritage.
