Bayswell Park Hotel

The Bayswell Park Hotel in Dunbar is perched on a clifftop overlooking the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock. With its breathtaking views along the coastline, the hotel’s clifftop restaurant is a relaxed spot to sit back and enjoy classic Scottish cuisine served in a contemporary gastropub-style. Although menus may vary seasonally, expect dishes showcasing regional specialities, such as Belhaven Smokehouse smoked salmon and Shaws of Lauderâs 8oz sirloin steak. Vegetarians can enjoy mains such as butternut squash and cavalo nero risotto with crispy sage.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, East Lothian has its fair share of windswept beaches and dramatic castles. Dunbar, where the Bayswell is based, boasts a lovely harbour and 13th century castle. It is also worth taking a stroll along the golden beaches at Yellowcraig, Belhaven Bay and Gullane Bents.
