Trigony House is a relaxed 4* star country house hotel in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. The hotel is set in over four acres of mature woodlands and gardens with friendly local staff offering guests a warm welcome.

The hotel’s restaurant serves award-winning, rustic cuisine in a casual fine dining setting. The boutique Garden Spa boasts a sauna, hot-tub and range of organic treatments.

Super comfortable rooms

Trigony House Hotel has nine well appointed en suite rooms. Each has its own unique character and is individually furnished with fine handpicked luxury items.

Most rooms have views over either the gardens and the Lowther Hills to the East or the Kier Hills to the West. All are decorated in a traditional style with soft, soothing pastel shades.

On arrival, you can enjoy the perk of a butler’s tray with homemade shortbread, tea, hot chocolate and real coffee. Then you can pamper yourself with luxury organic toiletries from Ishga on the Isle of Lewis. When it is time for sleep, you can enjoy a good night’s rest on your hand-sprung mattress dressed with fine Egyptian linen.

Other room features include free WiFi, a DVD player, flat-panel TV, air conditioning, desk and hairdryer. And iron with a board can be provided on request.

The restaurant at Trigony House has won various awards for its cuisine and offers a relaxed fine dining experience complemented by a carefully chosen wine list.

Everything on the menu is made from scratch, from the deliciously aromatic bread to the decadent honey & whisky ice cream. All ingredients are sourced locally, with much of it being free range and organic. From summer to autumn the hotel’s walled garden supplies vegetables, herbs and fruit, meaning flavours are incredibly fresh.

Menus can change seasonally, but expect dishes such as the braised Scottish beef with porcini mushrooms, red wine and roast garlic mash, the fillet of fennel scented Scottish hake with a lemon & saffron risotto and, for vegetarians, the leek, tarragon & Loch Arthur cheddar souffle.

A spa with a view

The Trigony Hotel Organic Boutique Garden Spa offers a truly holistic experience. This unique micro-spa has been designed to be a separate, private space where you can relax, unwind and be inspired by nature.

The stunning views from the wood-fired Swedish hot tub, Finnish sauna cabin and treatment areas complement the natural beauty therapies on offer. There is also a private garden with its own relaxation area. Complimentary herbal teas and cold drinks are served to guests.

The hotel’s bespoke spa therapies are all organic and soil association approved. Additionally, you can enjoy a treatment incorporating other iconic beauty brands such as Ishga and Pinks.
