Grey Gull Hotel

Once a hunting lodge for the Poltalloch Estate, Grey Gull Hotel at Ardrishaig is situated on the banks of Loch Gilp with the historic Crinan Canal behind it.

Veggies can tuck into choices such as the wild mushroom risotto with truffle and the black bean chilli with wild rice, nachos and guacamole

Or why not follow in the footsteps of Scotland’s ancient kings by climbing to the top of Dunadd Hill? Alternatively, you could hike to the top of the ridge where the ruins of Carnasserie Castle lie and enjoy sweeping views of the valley.
