Mixed Feelings - Nice Ambiance but a Little Pricey
I decided to give this place a try as I'd recently moved to the area and wanted to go somewhere local (as my usual place isn't that close by anymore).
I liked the ambiance of the place - treatment space was dark, cosy and had soothing music playing. I was really relaxed throughout. The lovely therapist explained the treatment thoroughly, and I was impressed that the treatment included an arm and hand massage. So far so good!
Cons were I had quite a bit of bruising after my microdermabrasion (which didn't appear until later that evening). I've had this treatment several times before so I knew this could happen. However, this is the most bruised I've ever been, which was a little annoying.
I also don't like places where they sell products to you afterwards. My heart sank a little when I saw all the Clarins advertising/products in reception! I'd like to point out that the therapist's sales pitch was not pushy at all but I'm such a pushover. So, if you don't like this aspect of spas, etc, maybe best to avoid (or just politely decline). I can't say that the £42 cream I bought was any better than cheaper brands but I did enjoy the samples I received (lovely touch).
Overall, I'd possibly go back for other treatments but will stick to my usual therapist for a facial.
