On top of that, Balham is also home to some of the best green spaces to take a walk in London with a host of great parks tucked behind the sleepy suburb houses.

The area still celebrates its Caribbean roots and there is music playing regularly across Brixton Market along with the intoxicating aromas of the street food, as well as the indoor village of Pop Brixton.
