Beautiful hotel with perfect location by the canal We stayed at Duodo Palace and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is clean, chic, and has a nice view — our room on the fourth floor was lovely. The location is perfect: right by the canal and close to main sights, so you can walk everywhere. To reach the hotel from the train station, you have two options: • Take a private boat directly to the hotel (costs about 90 euros), or • Take a public boat (vaporetto) to the nearest stop and then walk about 5–10 minutes. We arrived by private boat, which was very convenient. When leaving, we walked to the public boat station. Just keep in mind that if you have big luggage, Venice has bridges and stairs, so the boat is often easier. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the first day, the bathroom amenities were not refreshed, but the staff quickly apologized and fixed it. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we recommend this hotel for a comfortable and well-located visit to Venice.

Charming Stay at Duodo Palace – A Perfect Venetian Experience Our stay at Duodo Palace in San Marco was absolutely wonderful. This 4-star hotel offers a perfect mix of classic Venetian elegance and modern comforts, right in the heart of Venice’s most iconic district. From the moment we stepped in, the staff impressed us with their professionalism and warmth. The personnel were excellent—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile, making us feel truly welcome. The rooms are beautifully furnished with a tasteful blend of traditional decor and contemporary touches. Ours was cozy, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up in such a lovely space, just minutes away from St. Mark’s Square, was simply priceless. Breakfast was a treat—fresh, varied, and served in a bright, inviting room that set the perfect tone for the day. The location couldn’t be better. Being so close to major landmarks, restaurants, and charming canals made exploring Venice effortless and enjoyable. For anyone wanting a comfortable, stylish stay with attentive service in a prime location, Duodo Palace is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

First class hotel - warm, friendly and home from home. We try to visit Venice annually as it’s one of our favourite cities in the world. This was our 4th visit and every time we book the Duodo Palace to stay at. The location is perfect, close enough to st marks square (6-10 min walk) but tucked away in a peaceful location. 15-20 mins from Rialto bridge. The staff are so polite, helpful and provide great customer service. Nothing is too much trouble. We have stayed in four different rooms - all are equipped with the essentials. I request a kettle and cups for tea in the morning. (Take your own tea bags and ask for milk at the bar) a hairdryer is fixed in bathroom but again I requested a portable one which they provided. Decor is traditional Venetian style which is elegant and authentic. Water taxis can be arranged from the hotel. We don’t eat at the hotel but they do offer food/breakfast - however we like to explore and eat by the canals. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough. Good price and we have been lucky enough to be upgraded twice. Looking forward to visiting again - Thankyou.
