What an incredible place… This was a once in a lifetime experience. Stunningly beautiful landscape and animal sightings from Leopard to Vulture to Rhino to Lion to you name it. The guides made this an unforgettable seven days for us. Their knowledge of the bush and its inhabitants has been mind blowing. The entire service staff did go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have been super attentive. We will try to come back another day…

The Best Trip Ever! The Best Trip Ever! We stayed at Vuyani River Lodge for our honeymoon last week, and it was truly the best experience we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was incredible. The staff went above and beyond—some of the best customer service and hospitality we’ve ever received. A special thank you to Yan, Cyril, and Wavil, as well as the amazing housekeeping team who kept everything immaculate. Our game drive guides, Empirlo and Phillip, were absolutely fantastic. Their knowledge and passion for the wildlife were second to none, and no question ever went unanswered. They made every drive exciting and educational. Game drives took place twice daily—once in the early morning and again in the late afternoon. We visited during June/July, which is winter in South Africa. Mornings were a bit chilly, but Vuyani had us covered with warm blankets and hot drinks before setting out. Once the sun rose, the temperature warmed up quickly. I was initially worried that after seeing a few animals, we might get bored—but that couldn’t have been further from the truth! Every game drive felt like a new adventure, and we were always excited to see what would appear next. If you're considering a private game reserve, Vuyani River Lodge is the place to go. We truly hope to return one day and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much for an unforgettable trip—we’ll cherish these memories forever!

Best experience ever The best experience ever! So friendly and being a solo traveller felt safe and never felt lonely! Helped having great fellow travellers. Everything was excellent only downside can you get the pool heated? Would have loved a dip but ice cold! Food excellent as was the wine and G&T. Game drives twice daily surpassed all my expectations was fantastic Thomas and Krest made it enjoyable and their knowledge immense. The amount of animals and interesting facts was amazing. Would come back in an instance and hopefully someday I will. Vuyani means happy and I certainly came away feeling so much more than than in body and mind, it’s like a little retreat. Met some many lovely people and will have lovely memories for a lifetime. Keep up the excellent work Jan, Cyril, wavill, angelique ( the best banoffee ever), Lloyd and to those I forgot sorry.
