We booked the Wowcher deal for an overnight stay at The Midland and were really impressed. The hotel itself is stunning — full of historic charm with modern touches, and perfectly located in the heart of Manchester. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for a comfortable night. We especially appreciated the little touches like luxury toiletries and plush bedding. Breakfast the next morning was excellent — a good variety, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented in the hotel’s award-winning dining area. Overall, this was great value for money through Wowcher. Ideal for a romantic break or a relaxing city escape with easy access to shops, restaurants, and galleries.

Very pleased with our room - 5th floor and just a standard double but we got one in the tower so it was a really good size. Could faintly hear traffic noise but it didn’t disturb us or stop us sleeping. Very comfortable stay. Asked reception about the spa - I didn’t have a robe in our room but they got one sent up quickly. Good breakfast and enjoyed a free hour in the spa before that. Would def stay again and with the Wowcher discount it was a comparable cost to our usual premier inn - we visit our daughter at uni in Manchester several times a year - and it made for a real treat.

As always this is a wonderful experience. The breakfast is the best ever as is the bar offering. The rooms are wonderful too. The only downside I can think of is that the car park is away from the hotel. Not a big issue but annoying when it is raining!

Had a wonderful birthday celebration at the Midland hotel. Gorgeous room with comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with Elemis products . Central position for Manchester pubs and restaurants yet quiet for a good sleep. Followed by fantastic breakfast served by friendly staff .

Great choice in breakfast, nice spa but you only get 1h and you can only book the spa when u check in so you may not even get chance to use the spa if it’s already fully booked - this is only downside of it. Nice room.

Lovely vibe on entering the hotel - very chilled and elegant areas especially the bar . The receptionist was very pleasant and sorted us out a reasonable upgrade - the junior suite . The room was huge and very elegant but a little noisy there was a lot of clattering and clunking going on somewhere ?? the floor creaked on walking about and perhaps a little dark for a large room but perhaps wouldn’t look right with very bright lights etc - perhaps a magnifying light mirror in the bathroom would be helpful to see when putting make up on . We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was excellent- although I would have preferred fried eggs to be put out with scrambled eggs instead of having to order from the staff as l didn’t know they would come so quickly and were cold by the time we got back with the plate etc .

This hotel is by far the best hotel l have stopped in. It has a wonderful ambience combining the traditional and contemporary. An excellent central location only minutes from the team stop and 5 minutes from the main bars, restaurants and shopping area. In summary, a great hotel completing a great city.

Had to check out before bed time, the air conditioning was broken and despite several attempts to fix it during the day it didn’t work. Far too hot to sleep and was offered a fan and bottle of water. The hotel is now giving a refund apparently.

Beautiful hotel nice and clean but poor sleep because of noise Not addressed until an hour and a half I’ll I called reception at 4.30 then noise stopped and started again after 5min for another half hour
