Fresh fish and fantastic whisky
Guests can make merry in Mr C’s Fish and Whisky Bar and Restaurant, the hotel’s welcoming, casual dining spot.
The kitchen serves seafood, burgers and steaks and what many describe as the best fish and chips in Scotland.
Fresh fish is prominent on the menu and the bar has a very extensive whisky list; a wide selection of wines and a great range of real ales.
Guests can choose to dine in the traditional restaurant eating area, the relaxed soft seating space with big screen entertainment or in the lounge bar.
Traditional, live folk music sessions take place every weekend.
Guests are welcome to use the leisure facilities of sister hotel The Lodge on Loch Lomond.
As well as a sixteen metre heated swimming pool, there is a sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room for you to enjoy.
As we mentioned, The Inn on Loch Lomond has been welcoming guests since 1815. This is what a couple of contemporary visitors thought of their experiences at the inn:
‘Wonderful location and very friendly. The location is amazing, definitely worth upgrading to the loch-facing rooms in the Beach House. Room was very clean and spacious and the hotel staff very friendly. We ate in the restaurant which serves very nice food and even got a pub quiz in the evening! Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend.’
‘Great accommodation with excellent and attentive staff. We recently stayed in one of the Beach House rooms which was fitted out to a very high standard. The room was clean and tidy and had everything you need for a night away. The bar staff were great and looked after us all evening including our food order. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a relaxing place to stay.’
A romantic walk along the shores of the loch followed by dinner and a dram in front of the bar’s open fire – sounds a good way to brighten up January.
