Il Posto is the popular Italian restaurant at the luxurious Mar Hall Resort.
In English, it means The Place.

A luxury, five-star, golf and spa resort, Mar Hall is located within a tranquil 240 acre woodland estate.

Italian dishes

We can’t promise that you will have a table next to a bona fide pop star but we’re certain that you will have a meal to remember at Il Posto.

Il Posto’s authentic Italian cuisine is characterized by its simplicity. Many dishes have only four to eight ingredients but the quality of each one shines through and makes every dish sing.

Two courses

Available Thursday to Monday, from noon to 4pm, this splendid offer is for two people to enjoy two courses (starter and main course or main course and dessert) at Il Posto.

Starters

Minestrone Il Posto – A hearty bowl of traditional Italian soup (V)

Pette di Pollo – Chicken liver pâté served with toasted Italian bread & red onion chutney

Bruschetta con Pomodoro – Vine-ripe cherry tomatoes, marinated in fresh basil garlic & extra virgin olive oil, served on Italian bread (V)

Prosciutto di Parma e Melone – Fresh melon draped with thinly sliced Parma ham

Insalata Caprese – Tomato, mozzarella & basil salad. Drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (V)

Main courses

Primavera Pizza – Fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes & basil (V)

Prosciutto di Parma e Rucola Pizza – Parma ham, rocket & Parmesan, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil

Quattro Formaggio – Four cheese pizza topped with dolcelatte, mascarpone, mozzarella & Parmesan

Lasagne al Forno – Layers of fresh egg pasta in a beef ragu, topped with Béchamel sauce

Ravioli con Spinaci e Ricotta – Handmade ravioli with spinach & ricotta (V)

Ravioli con Brasato di Manzo – Handmade ravioli with braised beef

Penne Amatriciana – Handmade pasta with onion, garlic, chilli, basil & tomato (V)
