We’re not counting our chickens just yet.
However, we have crossed our fingers in that hope that winter is on the way out.
Wave goodbye to your woollens and say hello to the spring daffodils with today’s Big Deal on a break at the award-winning Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard in Pitlochry.
Tucked away in enchanting woodland grounds, Craigmhor is an absolutely stunning place to stay and it fully deserved to be named the Guest House of the Year at the 2014 Scottish Hotel Awards.
Awarded four star gold guest house status from VisitScotland, Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard is a beautiful, family owned and run B&B consisting of a Victorian lodge and twelve courtyard bedrooms.
The Big Deal is available Sunday to Thursday and is for two people to indulge in an overnight bed and breakfast stay in a Superior room at the Craigmhor Lodge and Courtyard.
Superior rooms are large in size and feature super kingsize double or twin beds; a 32” wall-mounted plasma TV with DVD player; an iPod docking station; WiFi; fridge and hot drinks facilities, including your own espresso coffee making machine.
Luxury walk-in showers and twin hand basins are complemented by underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
Thanks to an early check in of 2pm and late check-out of 12pm, you can take your time and enjoy all of this luxury without rushing on the day of departure.
Also included in the offer is a discount on rates for Pitlochry Golf Course. Wonderful Wednesdays are £15.00 per person per round. All other days are £27.00 per person per round. Rounds must be booked directly through Craigmhor Lodge and are valid in March and April.
There is also the option to upgrade to a Deluxe room from just £20 a night. Deluxe rooms are larger in size than the superior rooms.
As well as free-standing baths plus showers, they also have their own garden terrace so guests can relax and watch the wildlife in the adjacent pond and hills beyond.
The Craigmhor has won awards for its breakfasts.
Using only the best, fresh and local produce, guests can enjoy a continental buffet followed by a full cooked Scottish breakfast served in the large, comfortable dining room with stunning views of the pretty Victorian town.
Typical dishes might be creamy scrambled eggs and Dunkeld smoked salmon on a bagel, porridge with whisky or a peat-smoked Buckie haddock.

Highland Perthshire offers a huge variety of activities from visiting castle and distilleries to walking, cycling, fishing, golf and adventure sports. With vouchers valid until the end of April, you could also go skiing or snowboarding.

This is what a recent Big Deal customer thought:
‘I’ve just realised this is my sixth review of Craigmhor! And for the sixth time I’m giving it top marks… As always, the room was immaculate, the welcome warm and the breakfasts superb. We’ve got into the habit of having one of the delicious supper hampers for our first night, which is a great way to unwind with a glass or two of wine (from the little fridge where you can keep such goodies cool). We’ll be back later in the year to chill out some more…’
At Craigmhor, they make it easy for you to relax. Ease into your spring break with today’s Big Deal on an overnight stay in one of their lovely Superior rooms.
