Departures are from Glasgow Prestwick airport with daily flights in April except on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Available dates are:

Flights are with Ryanair, with departure times of 07:00, arriving in Majorca at 10:50. Return flights depart at 11:25 arriving in Glasgow at 13:30. These timings may be subject to alteration by the airline. 

Charming accommodation

The modern three star Hotel Cala Gran Costa del Sur is located in the picturesque resort of Cala d´Or on Majorca’s south-eastern coast.

The relaxed, family-friendly hotel has elegant Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area. It offers immediate access to the fine sand and crystal blue waters of Cala Gran beach, the largest of the resort’s five beaches.

Guest rooms are either air-conditioned or centrally heated according to the season. All include bathroom with shower/bath, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, safe hire and private balcony. Fridges can be hired for a small additional charge.

Leisure facilities

The hotel has a large outdoor fresh water swimming pool with spacious sun terraces, furnished with loungers and parasols for those lazy hours with a paperback and a cold drink, soaking up the rays.

Guests feeling a little more active can enjoy tennis and squash, diving, volleyball, snooker, darts, pool and table tennis tables. The resort’s animation team programme regular daytime sporting activities including rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics.

Evenings offer a seasonal programme of live music, cabaret shows and a bar and dance floor.

All inclusive stay

An all inclusive accommodation option means you can concentrate on enjoying the beach and hotel during your three night stay, without having to worry about dining or translating restaurant menus.

The hotel is equipped with a dining hall, two bars and various lounges offering buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with a wide variety of international cuisine. Snacks are also offered throughout the day.

Buffet breakfast is served from 08:00 – 10:00, buffet lunch from 13:00 – 14:30 and buffet dinner from 18:30 – 19:30 and 19:45 – 21:00.

The main bar is open from 10:00 – 23:00 and the all inclusive package includes local alcoholic drinks, local beer, local spirits, local wine and soft drinks.

Local attractions

Cala d’Or began life as a traditional Majorcan fishing village and the development of the resort has been sensitive to those origins, ensuring the place retains its original charm.

The coast here offers two miles of sandy coves and creeks, golden sand and turquoise waters. The village centre includes bars, restaurants, street cafes, good shopping and lively nightly entertainment to suit all tastes and budgets.
