Seven days a week

Excluding the Christmas and Hogmanay periods, both options are available seven days a week until the end of February 2016.

Option one is for two people to stay two nights in a double or twin room and option two is for a three night stay.

Both options include a Continental breakfast in the morning with the option to upgrade to a full Scottish breakfast for a £5 supplement. Late check-out to noon is another benefit of this offer.

Dinner can be made available by prior arrangement. There is free WiFi in the house.

Cosy winter hideaway

With a choice of sitting areas, an open fire and a wood-burning stove, The Craigerne is a cosy hideaway for the winter months; especially if you choose to fortify yourself with a dram from the honesty bar.

See & do

You don’t have to be a shinty warrior to enjoy the countryside around Newtonmore.

The house is beside Newtonmore golf course and it is less than a five minute walk to the  local amenities of Newtonmore village. The village is home the Highland Folk Museum where some of the Outlander TV series was filmed.

The Craigerne is also in Monarch of the Glen country and you can get a good feel for the sites used in the BBC series from the surrounding area.

Newtonmore is an excellent base for exploring the many local walks and trails. These range from gentle riverside strolls to more serious hill walking on the Munros, some accessible on foot direct from Craigerne House.

Aviemore and the Cairngorms are only twelve miles away and Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, Fort William, Inverness and the towns of the Spey Valley Whisky Trail are within an hour’s drive.
