Scottish produce

At the Isles of Glencoe, the dinner menu changes regularly to reflect the availability of the best local produce and offers classic and simple Scottish dishes.

Typical dishes might be the Loch Leven seafood chowder with wild garlic pesto followed by the slow cooked featherblade of Scotch beef with butter mash and root vegetables.

Diners can choose from fireside dining in the comfy lounge; a light and airy table in the conservatory or a seat in the Lochside Restaurant restaurant with picture frame windows – all designed to capture that view.

Leisure centre

Guests are welcome to use the hotel’s excellent leisure centre and its facilities, including an indoor heated pool, hydro-seat, bio-sauna and exercise room.

The surrounding countryside offers a wealth of day trip possibilities from castles to distilleries as well as easy or challenging hill walks, mountaineering, golf and adventure sports.

You could ride the Hogwarts Express, A.K.A. the Jacobite steam train; visit the seal pups at the Oban Sea Life Centre or find out about the history of the area at the Glencoe Folk Museum.

‘What a gem…The hotel is on a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides and has a water sports centre attached. Our room was perfect for two adults with child and they had a warm indoor pool and sauna. Our six year old daughter loved the play area in the front of the hotel and we loved their typical English buffet breakfast…’

‘Incredible location. We were lucky enough to get a ground floor room overlooking the water. Beds were not the most comfortable and rooms were very dated. However, they were clean with sufficient room. Restaurant was good. Staff was friendly. Location could not be beat with walking trails and scenic views of the water. Would stay here again and do recommend. Family rooms have bunk beds for those with children.’
