Discreetly luxurious, the five star Rocpool Reserve & Chez Roux in the heart of Inverness have won several awards over the last few years.
Among others, these include the Style hotel of the Year to the Boutique Hotel of the Year via the Condé Nast Johansens title for the Most Excellent UK City Hotel.
It is an impressive haul and the awards only tell part of the story. Featuring bold, contemporary design and striking modern art, this welcoming boutique hotel also has many admirers on TripAdvisor and other review sites.
Today’s Big Deal is a splendid opportunity to see for yourself why the rather suave Rocpool Reserve has such a beguiling effect on so many visitors.
Available Sunday to Thursday, the offer is for two people to enjoy an indulgent stay in a Chic room with a full Scottish breakfast in the morning.
Guests will enjoy a fantastic night’s sleep in an emperor size bed with Egyptian cotton linen and soft feather duvets.
Free WiFi, plasma TVs and Tassimo coffee machines mean that each room has plenty of home comforts while the bathrooms feature luxurious touches such as Thierry Mugler toiletries, deep baths, fluffy towels and Rocpool bath robes.
A full Scottish breakfast is included in the offer. Guests are welcome to take other meals in the hotel. Perhaps the pick of the options on offer is the Chez Roux.
Speaking of his Inverness dining room, the legendary French chef Albert Roux says ‘I want to recreate the kind of restaurant I remember from my home town, offering good and honest country cooking. The kind of place you can go to eat without ringing the bank for permission… Chez Roux will offer Scottish ingredients with a French twist.’
There is also the option to dine in the sophisticated r Bar at the hotel. A cosmopolitan cocktail bar, the r Bar offers a RouXpress menu as well as a selection of more traditional bar classics.
See & do
Rocpool Reserve is situated in the heart of Inverness just a few minutes walk from the High Street and Inverness Castle.
Naturally, there are plenty of nearby opportunities for golfers to follow their calling. The surrounding countryside also offers dolphin-spotting, distillery visits, walks in the Cairngorms National Park and, of course, sightseeing around Loch Ness.
Rocpool Reserve & Chez Roux pride themselves on the high quality of the service they provide as well as the sophistication of the accommodation and high quality of the dining on offer. That professionalism is reflected in the great number of glowing reviews they get. This recent review is from TripAdvisor. We’ve cut it for length but not meaning:
‘Outstanding in every way. We stayed for two nights in mid January. From the greeting to the goodbye, the service was second to none. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and furnished with real style and flair. Our room was extremely clean and well equipped, and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The little touches… made our experience so much more special. As for the food, we were blown away by the quality and service…. We were really impressed with the attention to detail shown in each dish, each was cooked to perfection, and the restaurant staff were outstanding in their efficiency of service, unerringly polite and discreet, yet attentive. The breakfasts were also incredible, so beautifully presented and very filling! We would not hesitate to recommend to anybody, and hope we will be able to stay again some time soon.’
