Country house

Built in 1874 as a family home, Strathblane Country House Hotel retains its traditional character while offering comfortable, elegant surroundings and a warm welcome.

Available 7 days per week, the Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay with a two course set dinner and a glass of wine. Includes a full cooked breakfast in the morning.

The deal is for a king size room but guests have the option to upgrade to a superior room for an additional £30.

Each of the individually styled, ensuite bedrooms has its own unique character and includes features such as free WiFi, Freeview channels and hot drinks facilities.

Scottish produce

From the fresh fish, which is delivered daily, to the Aberdeen Angus beef, the hotel restaurant in the hotel uses only the freshest Scottish produce.

As well as a full cooked breakfast, the deal includes a delicious 2 course dinner for each couple.

In order to ensure all dishes are fresh and seasonal, our menu changes on a daily basis. Typical starters may include smoked mackerel, black pudding and crisp apple salad, strathblane house pate with red onion chutney and oatcakes or goats cheese and sunblush tomato tartlet. Popular main courses include breast of chicken with haggis in an Arran mustard cream, aubergine ravioli with tomato and garlic compote and Parmesan shavings, seared seabream with mushroom and tarragon risotto. Steak may be available at a supplement.

Perfect location

Although only half an hour from Glasgow and Stirling, Strathblane Country House Hotel is surrounded by some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery. The Campsie Fells, Dumgoyne and Ben Lomond, are all within easy striking distance.

While not part of the Big Deal, guests can book a falconry session at the bird of prey centre in the hotel grounds.

Whether you want a hands-on session or simply to watch these magnificent birds swooping from the sky, Strathblane Country House Hotel can hook you up with a feathered friend.

Alternatively, simply relax with a book and perhaps a dram in the hotel’s Fireside Lounge.

‘Excellent hotel… peaceful and relaxing break. Spent the 14th March 2014 on a 5pm deal given to myself and husband as a gift. On arrival we were greeted warmly… The room was huge and spotless. The bed was super king sized and extremely comfortable… Our deal included a dinner which was delicious. Staff were very attentive and they made sure we had everything we needed… The grounds of the hotel look great… After a fabulous nights sleep we went down to breakfast. Again staff were there to ensure we had everything we needed. There was a huge selection for breakfast… We chose juice toast and full Scottish breakfast and as before the food was excellent. We will definitely go back to the Strathblane country house hotel and would stay for more than one night. First class hotel, staff and food.’
