After many months of intensive study and exhaustive field work, the Big Deal’s team of boffins has finally cracked the formula for the best ever mini-break.
In its simplest form, it can be reduced to: R&R + BF X NR = B or rest and relaxation plus brilliant facilities times nice room equals bliss.
Today’s Big Deal on a two night mini-break at Moness House Hotel, near Aberfeldy, adds up to a winning formula.
Now a welcoming and comfortable, four star, country house hotel, Moness House Hotel started life as a baronial shooting lodge way back in 1758.
Lovingly refurbished to retain the integrity of the original while introducing the essentials of modern day comfort, Moness House and Resort are an ideal base for exploring this beautiful and unique part of Scotland.
Less than two hours from all of Scotland’s major cities, Moness Resort is quick and easy to get to but feels a long way from the grind of urban life.
Today’s offer is for a two night stay for two in a splendid Deluxe Room. Furnished to the highest standard, these lovely rooms feature flat screen TV with satellite channels; Internet access; DVD; Egyptian cotton bed linen; hairdryer, iron and hot drinks facilities.
A full Scottish breakfast and full use of the excellent resort facilities is included.
Upgrades will be available at £10 per night for a Superior Room and £20 per night for a Suite.
This offer is valid seven days a week but there is a £20 per night supplement for Friday and Saturday night stays.
Guests at the hotel are welcome to use all of the resort’s extensive leisure facilities. The changing rooms, steam room, sauna, individual treatment rooms and poolside showers have recently been refurbished while the heated swimming pool is as popular as ever.
Badminton, mini-tennis, squash, table tennis and pool are all available on site or you could indulge in some luxurious treatments in the new Spa Therapy Rooms.

‘Good short break. This is a lovely country hotel in a beautiful part of the world. We had a lovely Deluxe Room with comfy beds and a fab bathroom with the deepest bath I’ve ever been in plus the usual TV, tea and coffee. We also had free WiFi in the room which was great. The food is great, brilliant breakfast and a great meal in the dining room in the evening. The staff are superb.’
