Individually designed rooms
Named after Hebridean islands, all of the nine individually designed ensuite rooms are decorated in rich fabrics and contemporary furnishings. Sky satellite TV, WiFi, power showers and luxurious Temple Spa toiletries are standard.
2 AA Rosettes
The hotel’s Islay Restaurant is the proud holder of two AA Rosettes and an enthusiastic user of local ingredients such as freshly caught langoustines and locally grown leaves and herbs. The menu changes regularly but typical dishes might be the venison tortellini with sweet corn, winter chanterelles, walnut and chocolate or the John Dory served with crispy bacon, celeriac and horseradish.
Exclusive sailing trip
As part of this offer, from April, voucher holders have the chance to go on a day sail trip on the hotel’s Solus a Chuain private yacht. A 50 footer, the boat will cast off at around 10.30am and, depending on the winds, sail to Rhum and Eigg or into Loch Nevis or Loch Mourn on the mainland before returning around 4.30pm. Whales, dolphins, basking sharks, seals and seabirds have all been spotted on previous trips. A freshly prepared lunch is served on board together with light refreshments.
Whether you choose to speed the bonnie boat over the sea to Skye or simply relax on dry land, this offer with Toravaig House Hotel is a great way to see one of Scotland’s most romantic islands.
