You can also enjoy a 20% discount on the a la carte menu in the restaurant, Monday to Saturday, or in the bBar on Sundays when the restaurant is closed.

As well as a queen-sized or twin beds, each room is kitted out with a Full HD Smart TV; Freeview channels and a range of USB points so you can plug in your iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, camera or memory stick.

Of course, there is free Internet access and on-site parking.

Depending on availability, there may be the opportunity to upgrade to a recently refurbished Club Room, Executive Room or Suite for a supplement of £10, £25 or £125 per night respectively. Ask reception when booking your stay.

Great location

From its waterfront location by the River Clyde, Glasgow city centre is a short ride away from The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel – handy if you are going to the SECC or The SSE Hydro.

If you would rather see some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery then Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are just 20 minutes to the west.

The restaurant at the hotel prides itself on careful local sourcing which includes fish landed from Scrabster and Peterhead as well as beef from the Glennifer Hills.

‘Very comfortable and friendly. Had a lovely four day stay at this hotel in June, very comfortable, spacious room. Lovely bathroom, again very spacious… Good selection of breakfast items and good quality… Very pleasant staff everywhere. It’s a bit out the way from the city centre but was cheaper than the hotels next to The Hydro and was able to park for free with plenty of spaces outside the hotel. Rooms were nice, hotel was nice and breakfast buffet was good. We just got a taxi both nights. From reception to The Hydro was about 20 mins in a taxi. We used the gym and the hotel pool… free to guests and were both good.’
