Sitting on the western end of Loch Tay, Killin is a picturesque village which is clustered around the Falls of Dochart.
Back in the dim and distant past, it was the stronghold of the MacNab clan.

A family-run business, the Bridge of Lochay Hotel was built in 1765. Combining traditional Scottish hospitality and modern comforts, it sits on the banks of the River Lochay in one and a half acres of its own grounds.

TripAdvisor has a lot of great reviews from people who have enjoyed their time at the Bridge of Lochay Hotel. This is what a recent visitor had to say:
‘Great stay. We just spent three nights at the hotel. Fantastic. Great place with character. Scenery around the hotel is spectacular. We had room four which has a view up the river and of the bridge. Very peaceful with just the sound of the river flowing by. Our room was clean, bright and airy and fully serviced each day. Staff are very nice, friendly, helpful and easy to engage in conversation. Service for our short stay could not be faulted in any way. 10/10 for the food. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast and all were excellent quality and freshly prepared. Menu is not over-sized and caters for all tastes. Loads of history in the dining room and a nice bright airy breakfast room. Best breakfast we have had for a long time, perfect way to kick off the day.’
Killin is less than an hour and a half’s drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh which makes the Bridge of Lochay a convenient destination to get to.
