Getting hitched? Think most wedding pics are so dull they could sedate an enraged rhino?
Step forward Gerlof Griesel, A.K.A. Geebz, a South African graphic designer who established Geebz Photography in 2009.
Geebz doesn’t have a mission statement. They are boring. If he did it would be ‘No more cheese’.
If you like traditional, stand to attention wedding pictures then Gerlof can do those.
If you would prefer stunning photography which captures the memory of your big day in attention-grabbing ways then you will love Geebz’s work.
As he puts it, ‘We like to keep things fresh and lively and, though everything we do springs from that one intention, we do no two jobs the same way.’
Don’t be scared. It’s your day and your photos. Geebz’s work is creative rather than wacky; artistic but not self consciously arty.
His wedding photos are popular among people with a bit of passion and adventure in their bones and the fresh and unique services he offers are unlike anything you have encountered before.
Before your wedding day, you will have a personal consultation with your photographer. This is a relaxed, informal meeting to discuss your package in depth and mould it to fit your hopes and needs.
On the day, you can expect uncapped, unlimited coverage of your special day that will include but not necessarily limited to:
Pre-ceremony Reservoir Dogs shoot with the boys – capture them looking like the suave, cool cats they believe themselves to be
Pre-ceremony Bubbles & Butterflies shoot with the girls – a memento of the calm before the storm
Ceremony venue detail
Full ceremony coverage – unobtrusive and classy coverage of the happy couple and their guests
Post-ceremony or The Applause – group photo(s)
Friends & family formals
The Stroll – relaxed & intimate portraits of the bride and groom being themselves; no ridiculous posing required!
You will also receive:
A beautifully presented DVD of your entire collection in fabulous high resolution and with no copyright restrictions. There is no cap on the number of pictures Geebz will take on the day and the DVD will contain all of them in both low and high resolution.
2 x high-gloss or matt-finished posters of your two favourite photographs (size: 12” x 8”)
Quality post-production on a selection of your photos. That doesn’t mean just slapping on a sepia-toned effect on your photos. We’re talking fresh, unique, contemporary and totally natural enhancement.
Your very own private page on the Geebz website.
A private group page on Facebook for all your friends to ‘like’ & comment on.
Weddings involve a lot of upfront costs. With today’s Big Deal, it is possible to stagger payments.
The wedding package costs £499 in total. When you buy this offer from 5pm Big Deal, the upfront cost is £250 payable to 5pm.
The balance of £249 is payable direct to Geebz Photography at any point up to four weeks before the wedding date.
We’re not suggesting that you do anything without consulting the couple (that would be madness) but this offer would make a fantastic wedding gift. Just an idea.
There’s no better way of explaining what Geebz Photography does then letting some of his previous clients have the final word. The following is from Kirsty and Gavin who were married in June. We’ve cut it for length but not meaning:
‘If we could sum up Geebz photography in one word it would be “breathtaking”... Across the planning we had viewed at least a hundred photographers’ work and nothing compared to Geebz photography…
‘On the big day the photography was so relaxed and Gert captured every moment from preparations to us dancing the night away. The great thing was he even snapped moments that we did not see. Gert made a huge impression on every guest and they are still talking about him today.
‘We are ecstatic on how good our album is and we have already shown this to friends and family who are saying this is so different and miles better to anything they have seen before… Please look no further and choose Geebz photography. We have found a photographer for life and will be sure to use him again in the future to capture more of our special moments.’
