Cake and coffee/tea for 2
Charles Rennie Mackintosh building
Surrounded by tranquil park
Great for catch-up with friend
Glasgow has long been a city that wears its considerable style on its sleeve.
Celebrate that great design heritage with cake and coffee courtesy of today’s Big Deal at House for an Art Lover.
Located in tranquil Bellahouston Park, House for an Art Lover is a stylish arts centre and welcoming cafe as well as being a fine example of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the ground-breaking Scottish architect.
Tea for 2
Today’s Big Deal is for two people to enjoy tea or coffee and a cake in the stylish Art Lovers Cafe at the House.
The chefs at the cafe use ingredients from local suppliers to create mouth-watering delicacies such as the pear Danish pastry; banana & walnut loaf or the choc brownie.
Their baristas are dab hands at conjuring up a cracking cappuccino, a reviving Americano or indeed a refreshing cup of Earl Grey.
Exhibitions from local artists decorate the walls at the cafe but, if the sun is shining, then the cafe terrace is a popular spot for a snack.
This Big Deal isn’t complicated but it would make a lovely reason to catch up with friends. It would also be a fun way to treat your Mum or simply a great excuse for taking a stroll around the park as the spring weather comes out.
