There is a clue in the name but Byres Road used to be where cows were milked for the Glasgow market.
These days, the cows have long gone. Fortunately, there is still plenty of great grazing to be had in the area.
Mosey over to today’s Big Deal and enjoy a great steak and lobster dinner for two at Bo’Vine, valid until the end of March 2016.
Part of the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor, Bo’Vine is a devilishly handsome steakhouse.
Tricked out in a stylish bovine theme, it serves fantastic Scottish beef and seafood.
Grass-fed Scottish beef
This Big Deal is for two people to each have an eight ounce sirloin steak and a half grilled lobster served with garlic butter, triple cooked chips and vine tomatoes.
A chilled glass of Prosecco will be served to accompany your delicious meal.
Vouchers are valid 5pm to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday.
All of the steaks at Bo’Vine come from grass-fed, Scottish beef which is aged for a minimum of 28 days.
Bo’Vine is rated a tremendous 4.3/5 from almost 400 reviews on 5pm Dining. This recent review is typical. We’ve edited it for length but not meaning:
‘Fantastic steak restaurant. Had a fantastic meal at Bovine… We all had a fantastic steak meal, beautifully prepared. The service was prompt, friendly and highly professional. We felt looked after but also not “overlooked” or rushed. The 5pm deal was great value – I would definitely do it again… The atmosphere was great too – we went for a very early evening meal prior to theatre and although the restaurant was quiet (it had just opened for the evening), it was still a nice atmosphere.’ Rating 5/5
This offer would make a very swish Valentine’s gift.
Of course, there is nothing to stop you buying a few to use as gifts or as a treat for yourself.
The early months of 2016 may be damp and cold but a steak and lobster dinner at Bo’Vine is a cheery pleasure to look forward to.
Especially when a glass of fizz is included in the offer.
