Lots of people wish for fame but being recognised everywhere you go is over-rated.
Make like the stars and enjoy the discreet thrill of private dining in the Whisky Snug at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow’s West End.
Glasgow’s most famous hotel has long been synonymous with classic good taste.
With today’s Big Deal, you can show your friends, family or business colleagues the best that Hotel du Vin @ One Devonshire Gardens has to offer.
Darin Campbell, head chef at One Devonshire Gardens, has the sort of glittering CV which many chefs would give their right arm for.
Together with his brigade, Chef Campbell’s kitchen produces fantastic food that shows Scotland’s larder in its finest light.
This exclusive offer is for eight people to have lunch (Mon-Fri) or dinner (Sun-Thu) in the Whisky Snug at One Devonshire Gardens.
Happily ensconced in your whisky-lined, private dining room, you and your guests will enjoy a four course meal along with four bottles of wine and mineral water to share.
The Whisky Snug seats up to ten so up to two more additional guests can be added at a charge of £40 per head, payable directly to the hotel. Should you take option 2 and the tutored wine tasting, then additional guests will be charged at £52.50 each for the meal and wine tasting.
Fresh & seasonal
The actual dishes available on the day will depend on which ingredients are in season but typical starters might be the risotto of saffron, fresh pea and aged Parmesan or the chicken liver and foie gras parfait served with baby figs and toasted brioche.
Popular main courses include the butter-roasted, corn-fed chicken supreme with pommes fondant, truffled haricots verts and Madeira cream or the pan-fried seabass served with basil-crushed potatoes, an anchovy beignet and sauce vierge.
Be sure to leave room for desserts such as the Devonshire sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream or the Drambuie, white chocolate and toasted oatmeal parfait served with caramelized bananas.
The 4th course will come in the form of either an intermediate or pre dessert.
Your private dining experience at One Devonshire Gardens will be memorable for all the right reasons but, to make a great meal into a spectacular one, there is also the option to have a half hour wine tasting in the One Devonshire cellars with the sommelier.
Containing over 600 bins, the cellars hold a remarkable collection of wines that range from easy drinking every day bottles to rare vintages from the world’s best estates.
A tutored wine tasting in the cellars would make for a fantastic talking point before your meal.
The private dining offer at the five star One Devonshire Gardens would be ideal for celebrating a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion. It could be used to treat your family, friends or as the basis for an executive business meal.
Whoever you go with, it will be an unforgettable experience.
