Fine food, fine wine, fine times’ is the slogan at La Bonne Auberge in Glasgow’s Theatreland.
Since the much loved restaurant has been welcoming diners for just under 40 years, it seems a winning formula that’s not to be messed with.
Snap up today’s Big Deal and you and up to nine friends and family can experience the best of La Bonne Auberge in their private dining room.
Flavours of the Mediterranean
Launched in 1975, La Bonne Auberge on West Nile Street has been consistently popular in Glasgow for well over thirty years.
Award-winning Executive Chef Gerry Sharkey has been at the helm in the kitchen for a good chunk of that time and his years of experience shows in dishes that make the most of French and Mediterranean flavours.
This Big Deal is for ten people to enjoy dinner in the tastefully decorated private dining room at La Bonne Auberge.
You will be greeted with a glass of Prosecco followed by a delicious three course set menu. The deal includes half a bottle of house wine per person and coffee to finish.
Guests can also take advantage of free parking at the nearby Concert Square car park.
The actual dishes available on the set menu each day will change according to what’s in season but guests can look forward to a choice of three starters, three main courses and three desserts.
Typical starters might be the peppered mackerel with potato and horseradish mousse plus a rhubarb and citrus vinaigrette; main courses like the peppered pork loin chop with a spiced pear compote, and spinach and cheddar cheese mash or desserts such as the vanilla crème brulée with a caramelised hazelnut crust.
Over the decades, La Bonne Auberge has picked up lots of glowing reviews. Here are a couple of recent ones from their 5pm Restaurants entry:
‘Third time we have been here – each visit has been terrific. Food, service and ambience are first class every time.’ Rating 5/5
‘Meal prior to performance at Concert Hall. As always, perfection.’ Rating 5/5
