Available seven days a week, this intriguing Big Deal is for two people to each have a flight of whisky or gin to taste along with antipasti selection.

Each flight will feature three whiskies or gins with each sample specially selected to showcase different gin styles or the huge range of flavours which are characteristic of the major whisky producing regions.

Whiskies offered demonstrate the distinctive styles of the main regions. Glengoyne 10 year-old Highland Single Malt is slow-distilled with discernible fruit notes. Tamdhu 10 year-old Speyside Single Malt is matured in sherry casks, with a rich, creamy flavour, while Smokehead Islay Single Malt delivers the peaty notes promised in the name.

Gins and gin liqueurs to sample include a standard Edinburgh gin, Edinburgh Gin with Elderflower and Edinburgh Gin with Raspberry. The perfect serve recommended for the gins is with either Fentimans or Fevertree tonic, with a slice of orange peel as the garnish to release the oils from the skin.

Each flight of spirits will come with its own set of expert tasting notes. Who said that learning couldn’t be fun?

The whisky or gin flights will be paired with an antipasti selection which have been carefully chosen to match the spirits, and each guest can choose a different flight.
