Great choice of dishes

Popular starters at The Stables include pan-fried king prawns; potato skins loaded with cheese and bacon plus haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce.

From the Cajun chicken salad to the beef Stroganoff, there are lots of appealing main courses on the menu.

We fancy the duck breast with a raspberry and plum sauce but could be persuaded by the steak and ale pie. Or the Balmoral chicken. Or the steak and ale pie.

Mind you, the scampi would go down a treat. As would the lasagne.
