Handpicked for you – curated deals for 5pm customers
The Bill’s family of restaurants was started by Bill Collison, a greengrocer who liked nothing better than pottering around his fruit and veg patch.
Stop to smell the roses with today’s Big Deal on a meal for two from the new Summer menu at Bill’s in Glasgow.
Bill’s is a laidback, casual restaurant on West Nile Street in Glasgow city centre.
Wood panelling, stripped walls and pick ‘n’ mix lighting give it all a relaxed, home-from-home feeling.
Bill’s is artfully rustic – mismatched charis and tables, vintage decoration, and service delivered with a big smile from the friendly staff.
On sunny days, the outside seating area is understandably popular.
Lots of choice
Available from noon to 10.45pm, seven days a week, today’s offer is for two people to each have a main course from the new Summer menu, plus a bottle of house wine to share.
There are eighteen different dishes to choose from so you won’t be short of options.
Dishes range from classic fish pies and slow cooked beef stews to mojo chicken skewers and BBQ style pork ribs.
There is a superfood kale salad if you are feeling virtuous and 28 day aged rib-eyes and sirloins (£3 supplement) for those occasions when all you really want is a good, juicy steak.
The stars of each dish are ably accompanied by gorgeous supporting ingredients.
For example, the chargrilled paprika and lemon chicken comes with summer slaw with mint, coriander and cous cous, Bill’s dressing, baby kale and lemon garlic mayo.
Bill’s is a hit with 5pm users and the restaurant’s popularity is reflected in its 5pm reviews:
‘This was our first visit to Bill’s and we were very impressed. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and atmosphere very relaxed.’ Rating 5/5
‘Fab place. Absolutely loved this place, food was excellent and the staff was so attentive, made us feel like we were the only ones there, can’t praise it highly enough.’ Rating 5/5
Handy for CineWorld, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and the Pavilion, this offer would be ideal for a pre-show dinner.
It would also be great for a relaxed weekend lunch, a low key date or dinner with friends.
And if you haven’t dropped into Bill’s before, this is a great introduction to this friendly, city centre restaurant.
