Ad Lib restaurants have been rocking their classic American menus in Glasgow since 1976.

While they may have plenty of experience under their belt, they don’t let the grass grow under their feet.

The Merchant City Ad Lib recently launched after a clever refurb.

With vintage photos of Glasgow fire fighters on the walls and a burnt wood motif throughout, the new decor echoes the building’s former life as a fire station.

Today’s Big Deal is a great excuse to pay a visit and see the new look Ad Lib or revisit the long standing branch on Hope Street.

To be honest, we’re tempted to buy a few vouchers and go to both restaurants.

Steak or chicken fajitas

Available from noon to 10pm, Sunday to Thursday in the Hope Street branch and Sunday to Friday over on Ingram Street, the offer is for two people to have steak or chicken fajitas each plus a Margarita.

The fajitas come with salsa, sour cream and jack cheese. The Margaritas come with a kick.

Available from noon to 10pm, this is a very flexible offer from Ad Lib. You could use it for a fun lunch, a pre-show meal, a bite to eat with a loved one or as part of a big night out.

You could also buy a handful and round up some chums. Fajitas and Margaritas could be the start of a fantastic party.
