Now celebrating ten successful years, Barca Tapas and Cava Bar has long welcomed guests to its sophisticated dining room in the vibrant Princes Square on Buchanan Street.

Dine on the terrace

As well as a modernist, Spanish-inspired interior, Barca Tapas has terrace seating on the second floor of Princes Square.

This means that you can do as the Spanish do and eat on the terrace without fear of the Scottish weather causing frostbite.

Authentic paella

Delivering some Catalan sunshine to Glasgow city centre, this Big Deal is for two people to share an authentic paella.

To accompany the food at Barca Tapas, guests have the choice of a bottle of house red or white wine or a litre of sangria, made with licor 43, Spanish brandy, orange and cranberry juices and red wine.

Choice of paella

Barca Tapas uses the freshest ingredients and authentic Spanish rice from the Delta del Ebro to make its range of paellas.

Diners can choose from the following:

Paella de pescado – king prawns, tiger prawns, calamari and mussels 



Paella de carne – chicken, beef, pork and chorizo 



Paella de Valencia – king prawns, calamari, mussels, chicken, chorizo and beef

Paella de verduras – padron peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, squash and spinach

Arros negre – the house special translates as black rice. A traditional Valencian and Catalan paella-style dish with baby squid, squid ink and mussels

All the paellas are made to order and take around 45 minutes to prepare. They are worth the wait.
