For the rainy family days, Oban has The Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary and Atlantis Leisure.
The Ranald Hotel has been open a little over a year and has won lots of excellent ratings on TripAdvisor in that period. This is what a recent guest had to say. We’ve cut it for length but not meaning:
‘Great hotel. The Ranald Hotel is a fairly small hotel in a terrace near the centre of Oban. It is newly built and very much boutique style. There is a small bar/reception on the ground floor and it, and the rooms, are beautifully furnished and decorated. The manager, Harry, carried our bags upstairs (there’s no lift) and couldn’t have been more helpful.
‘If you want modern, stylish and spotless, then The Ranald is perfect. There is a lack of space in the hotel but not in the rooms – they really are remarkably spacious, so don’t be put off by other comments about lack of space. Breakfast was excellent and the famous baked eggs are lovely. Breakfast staff and bar staff were very friendly and professional. We love Oban and will never stay anywhere else again…’
If you would like to get away for an autumnal break then this Big Deal with The Ranald Hotel is a great way to explore the best that Oban has to offer.
