Thought to have been founded by Norsemen in the 12th century, Tulloch Castle in Dingwall has had a long and fascinating history. It is even said to have its own ghosts.
While the tall tales may be chilling, the welcome is warm at this stunning Highland hotel.

Period features & modern comforts
This historical hotel is packed with interesting, ancient features including the 250-year old panelled Great Hall. As you enter the magnificent hallways you will pass by painstakingly restored original fireplaces and ceilings.
While it has a long and colourful history, the amenities are bang up to date. Tulloch Castle has twenty well appointed en-suite bedrooms, all with their own unique character and charm. Of course, the hotel also has Internet access for guests.
Only the best, freshly prepared Highland produce is served in the atmospheric Turrets Restaurant. You can round off your evening relaxing in front of a roaring log fire with a fine malt from the vast selection in the Green Lady Bar.
Tulloch Castle has plenty of fans on TripAdvisor. This is what a guest had to say after a stay in February:
‘We arrived on Valentine’s day, our anniversary. We stayed in the four poster bedroom, it was wonderful. The room was lovely, warm and clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, very friendly and very polite… The food was absolutely lovely in both restaurant and bar. We loved the fact that you could sit or go anywhere with your drink. Of course, it was brilliant that you could go exploring anywhere in the castle. We managed to get lost coming from our bedroom. We would definitely recommend a stay here. We hope to return one day.’
