Obu is a modern pan Asian restaurant located within Glasgow’s Princes Square. 

Featuring a hip, contemporary decor, the restaurant offers fusion dishes from Thailand, Japan, Korea, China and India.

The manager, Tom, was brought up in Hong Kong; a city where many of the restaurants pretty much define pan Asian cooking.

Ramen to teriyaki

Available seven days a week, the offer is for two people to each have a glass of house wine or Tsingtao beer along with a main course from any of the following menu sections: noodle dishes, rice dishes or chef special.

We have the hots for the Korean fried chicken but could be persuaded by the miso tuna steak.

There are several noodle and rice options to choose from, including katsu curry; pork and green peppercorn curry; prawn pad thai or sticky beef noodles.

Note there is a supplement of £2 per dish for the hoisin duck leg and £3 per dish for the sizzling Szechuan beef.

Try it out

Obu is on the second floor of Princes Square shopping centre and diners have the option of eating on the terrace – all the atmosphere of dining al fresco without the possibility of rain.
