Located on Portman Street, in the old News International building, The Climbing Academy features over 1100 sq. metres of bouldering walls.
All abilities
Bouldering is low level climbing which is done above crash mats. You get all the fun of climbing but without the hassle of equipment.
The different routes, or problems, at The Climbing Academy are designed to test climbers of all abilities from beginners to experts.
Getting started is easy. Just turn up and the friendly staff will take you through the safety procedures and you can get started.
Bouldering is for everyone, young and old, male and female, and can include those of all physical and mental abilities. Just think about kids climbing trees, it’s as natural and simple as that.
Indoor climbing
Available from 10am til 10pm Monday to Friday and 10am til 6pm Saturday and Sunday, today’s Big Deal comes in three varieties:
Option one is for one person to have three indoor rock climbing sessions, includes membership and shoe hire.
Option two is for one person to have one month of indoor rocking climbing sessions, includes membership.Option three is for one person to enrol on the movement and technique rock climbing course.
The course is perfect for new climbers and your experienced, friendly coach will cover footwork, body positioning, different holds, flagging, route reading, and training basics.
Option three includes membership, three hour-long, indoor rock climbing sessions with coaching and shoe hire.

No booking required – simply go along at a time that suits.
Important Information
Option 1 is for 1 person to have 3 indoor rock climbing sessions, including membership and shoe hire.
Option 2 is for 1 person to have 1 month of indoor rocking climbing sessions, including membership. Excludes shoe hire; shoe hire available – £2.75 surcharge (£2.50 for students) applies.
Option 2 vouchers are valid for 1 month from date of first visit.
Options 1 & 2 may be used over multiple visits; allow enough time to schedule all sessions within the deal redemption period.
Option 3 is for 1 person to have a come and try it visit, 3 × 1 hour-long indoor rock climbing sessions with coaching + shoe hire, including membership.
Offer is not open to current Climbing Academy members.
Offer is open to those aged 16+ only. Ages 16-17 may climb with adult consent. Those 16-17 years will require completion of a parental consent form at their first visit.
Max 1 voucher to be redeemed per customer. Additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts.
