The chef and his team work closely with the best of Borders food producers and use produce from the Roxburghe Estate itself. Wherever possible, all the food is local, seasonal and of the highest quality.  

Typical dishes might be the seared, hand-dived scallops from Berwick or the rack of Borders lamb accompanied by braised shoulder, piperade and lamb jus.

See and do in The Borders

As we mentioned, the hotel sits on the Roxburghe Estate and, as well as the championship golf course, the estate offers a wide range of activities from fishing to clay pigeon shooting and croquet.

There are plenty of great walks, both on the estate and nearby. Alternatively, you could visit nearby Floors Castle, stately home to the Duke of Roxburghe.

There is also the option to book a beauty treatment in the hotel’s Beauty Suite.
