For the pure-hearted innocents among us, Beauty and the Beast will always refer to one of the world’s best loved fairy tales.
For the less pure minded, it might bring back memories of hot gossip from last year’s staff party.
Forget the tittle tattle; today’s Big Deal with The King’s Theatre in Glasgow is all about the spell-binding fairy tale and it would make an ideal family night out to help get in the mood for Christmas.
The Big Deal is £11 for one ticket to see Pantheon’s spectacular new stage version of Disney’s much loved, Oscar-winning, animated movie.
Vouchers are only for the performance taking place at 5.30pm on Friday 18th November, 2011.
Featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, the show includes all your favourites songs from the film including Beauty and The Beast, A Change in Me and Be Our Guest plus several songs written especially for the stage.
The magical tale has enchanted audiences for ever and a day but for those who need a little refresher…
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle.
Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.
To punish him for his cruelty, he was transformed into a hideous beast; only if he finds true love can the curse ever be broken.
Will the hero get the girl? Will true love prevail? Will the Beast ever look a little less, er, beastly?
All these questions and many more will be answered on Friday 18th November when Pantheon perform Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
