Contemporary Scottish design

It’s a really simple offer. Option one is for two people to have an overnight stay in a twin or double room. The offer includes a full Scottish breakfast and two courses from the brasserie’s all day menu.

Option two is for two people to have a two night stay with breakfast each morning and a two course dinner on the night you arrive.

Both options are available Sunday until Thursday.

All the rooms feature a stylish contemporary decor and have ensuite showers, great beds, a hairdryer, high quality bed linen, hot drinks facilities, Freeview TVs and free WiFi.

Local produce

The brasserie has been winning fans since The Golf Inn launched earlier this year. Popular dishes include the house hamburger, the mac ‘n’ cheese or the king prawn penne pasta.

The owner particularly recommends the beer-battered haddock fillet with hand-cut chips, minted mushy peas and tartar sauce. The fish is delivered fresh each day from G and A Spink in Arbroath.

See & do

We don’t need to spell out why St Andrews is the home of golf.

However, it’s not the only attraction in St Andrews. The town’s aquarium, castle and cathedral are all worth exploring. Or you could simply enjoy a hand-in-hand stroll along West Sands Beach.

The latter is the ideal prep for a hot chocolate or cockle-warming whisky on the roof terrace.

‘The Golf Inn was ideally situated for the golf course, beach, town centre, aquarium, St Andrews Castle and the old Cathedral. The bedrooms are above a bar/restaurant. Our room was compact but clean and well equipped… but no mirror in bedroom!! Bathroom was good size with bath and great shower, complimentary toiletries. We had dinner which was very tasty and well presented, good size portions. Menu was basic pub grub. Breakfast was also very good and hot food was made to order, good choice considering small hotel. Staff were friendly…’

‘Very good, small hotel. This hotel is just a five minute walk from the bus station… If you need a small break, this is ideal as the small hotel facilities are very clean and take care of their guests. The dinner was cooked really well and the breakfast had a great selection and freshly cooked to order. We will return again. There is no lift but the hotel staff took our case to our room…’
