If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach then perhaps the way to a woman’s is via her ears.
Hit the right note and keep both parties happy this year by taking up today’s Big Deal on a Valentine’s Day dinner with live jazz at The Jam House on Edinburgh’s Queen Street.
This Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an intimate, three course Valentine’s Day dinner at the Jam House accompanied by live music from the Maria Speight Jazz Band.
Guests will also enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and the choice of a French Martini or a choco-mint martini.
Maria hails from Alabama originally and her rich, heartfelt vocals are perfect for laying down classics from the Great American Songbook as well as delivering complex jazz improvisations.
Maria and her band will be performing from around 9pm and providing the perfect aural backdrop to your romantic dinner.
3 course dinner
Dishes on the starter menu include a baked Camembert with warm bread, pickles and olives; a seared Shetland scallop accompanied by a smoked chicken Caesar salad and sautéed wild mushrooms served on toasted brioche.
The main courses include pan-fried seabass with pearl barley risotto and the roast ribeye of Scotch beef with the Jam House braised ox suet pudding and fondant potato.
A warm chocolate fondant and a Scottish cheeseboard are among the dessert choices.
Originally founded by Jools Holland and inspired by American venues like Chicago’s House of Blues, The Jam House is designed for good times.
