Robust, earthy dishes

Inspired by French home-style cooking with robust earthy dishes, and slow-cooked foods, Bistro du Vin’s Gallic-influenced menu is always a treat.

The exact dishes on the menu will change depending on the produce available. Typical starters might be the Provençal fish soup served with rouillé and a crouton or the prawn and avocado salad.

Popular main courses include the canard and boudin noir saucisson; the mussels with white wine, garlic, cream and shallots, served with pommes frites or the tremendous Hotel du Vin burger with bacon, grilled cheese and relish on a brioche bun.

Desserts like the crème brûlée or pear and almond tart with honeycomb ice cream will bring your meal to an enjoyably sweet conclusion.

Extra sides, such as the pommes frites, wilted spinach and honey-roasted carrots, will be charged at £3.50.
