A la carte

Available Monday to Saturday, from noon to 2pm, today’s Big Deal is for two or four people to have a two course lunch from the a la carte menu in The Brasserie.

A stylish space with striking contemporary decor, it’s a comfortable venue in which to enjoy the creations of Head Chef Graeme Shaw.

The a la carte menu offers lots of appetising choices. Exact dishes may vary but typical starters include a salad of crispy duck egg, rocket, Parmesan and Virginia bacon with a balsamic reduction or the fish cake with lemon and chive crème fraîche and a herb salad.

Popular main courses include the slow cooked shoulder of lamb with mushroom purée, oyster mushrooms and sautéed potatoes or the fillet of cod which is served with smoked bacon, potato, leek and smoked oil.

There is a grill section which offers sirloins, rib-eyes and fillets while the Norton Classics feature the house burger; haddock ‘n’ chips and a range of gourmet toasted sandwiches and ciabatta with fillings such as steak and pulled pork.

There will be a £5 per dish supplement for duck and steak dishes.
