The UK’s largest celebration of food and drink returns to Inverleith Park in the capital on the weekend of Friday 7th, Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August.

Now in its tenth year, Foodies Festival is the social event of the summer for food fanatics, amateur chefs and those seeking the ultimate foodie Instagram picture.

Day passes

Today’s offer is available in four versions.

Option one is for two people to have an entry day pass for Friday plus a show guide each so you can keep track of the action-packed schedules of master classes and demos.

Option two is for two people to have an entry day pass for Saturday or Sunday plus a show guide each.

Option three is for two people to have VIP entry day passes for Friday plus show guides.

Option four is for two people to have VIP entry day passes for Saturday or Sunday plus show guides.

50% bigger

Following the success of last year’s Edinburgh Foodies Festival, organisers have expanded the festival site by 50%, making room for new food and drink theatres, an extended Producers Market and a huge selection of street food.

Bee-keeping, oyster-shucking, sushi-making and foraging are just a few of the hands-on master classes festival-goers can try in the new Tasting Theatre. 

As well as the Cake & Bake Theatre, there will be a Chocolate, Cake and Bake Village filled with the latest gadgets and baking essentials – a haven for Great British Bake Off fans.

A new Wine, Champagne and Craft Beer Theatre invites foodies to take food and drink matching master classes with experts Charles Metcalfe, Neil Phillips and beer expert Melissa Cole.

Celebrity chefs

The Aga Rangemaster Chefs Theatre welcomes Michelin-star, celebrity and top local chefs who will cook their favourite summer recipes. MasterChef: The Professionals winner Jamie Scott and runner-up Adam Handling will be there alongside top Scottish chefs.

In celebration of the Year of Food and Drink Scotland, the Producers Market has been enlarged to more than 200 artisan producers selling award winning cheeses and condiments, jams and bakes, confectionary, cured meats and more.

An extended Street Food Avenue at the heart of the festival serves up a huge selection of hot and cold dishes from around the world. Japanese, Thai, Brazilian, Argentinean, Indian, Mexican, French and African are just some of the cuisines visitors can tuck into in the Feasting Tent.

As always, there will be live music from the Entertainment Stage and the offer of a refreshing cocktail, glass of bubbly or a Pimm’s from the Giant Pimm’s Teapot and Change to Captain Morgan Mojito Ship bars.

Little foodies can explore their taste buds and learn basic cooking skills with Picnic in the Park-themed master classes in the Children’s Cookery Theatre.
