The Sicilian was a 1987 film starring Christopher Lambert as a Robin Hood figure. It had action, drama and suspense.
Take up today’s Big Deal and you can play a starring role at The Sicilian restaurant on Union Place, opposite the Playhouse.
You probably don’t want action, drama or indeed suspense with your meal but, just like the film, we can promise an authentic taste of Sicily.
Perfect for a pre-theatre meal
A cosy basement restaurant, specialising in Sicilian and Italian dishes, The Sicilian is about a two minute walk from Edinburgh Playhouse.
We’re not saying that you could throw a pizza between the two but it’s not far off.
This Big Deal with The Sicilian Restaurant is valid from 5-10pm, Monday to Saturday.
This means that you could enjoy a bite to eat at The Sicilian before going to see a show at the Playhouse or you could settle in for the night and savour every mouthful of your meal.
Two course meal
The offer is for two people to each enjoy one starter and one main course from the 5pm Big Deal menu.
Starters on the menu include lighter options such as the tomato, onion and olive salad or the prawn cocktail alongside more substantial options like the meatballs in tomato sauce or the calamari in chilli sauce.
As well as pizzas such as the mushroom, pepperoni or Diavolo, there are a range of pasta dishes on offer.
Choose between dishes such as traditional lasagne, spaghetti Bolognaise, tagliatelle carbonara or Sicilian risotto.
If we were being cheesy then we would say that it’s an offer you can’t refuse.
