Chez Roux

The award-winning restaurant at Greywalls Hotel is the brainchild of super chef Albert Roux. He describes his dishes as ‘French classical cuisine with a flair and lightness, using local product as much as possible.’

Breakfast is included in the offer. Should you choose to take lunch or dinner at Chez Roux then you are in for truly memorable meal.

The menus change regularly. A typical meal at Chez Roux might start with the hand-picked crab Marie rose, plum tomato gazpacho, pickled melon and cucumber with pea mousse followed by the ballotine of St Brides guinea fowl, caramelised chicory with orange, herb gnocchi and Parmesan velouté.

‘Excellent, stunning, fantastic. Where does one start? If (you are) a golfing nut the Hotel is situated next to Muirfield Golf Club, home of many a British Open and thus the hotel is full of memorabilia of players who have stayed during many an event. Inside, it is something out of an Agatha Christie novel. Book-lined lounges, nooks, crannies, twists and turns. A lovely conservatory and views over the golf course to the sea. Now to the food. Flavours, colours, presentation, choices that swept me and my guests into a world of enjoyment and delight. Not a clean plate in sight. Heaven for a foodie… Charming, knowledgeable, friendly staff who are a credit to the restaurant.’
